ABOUT THE ARTIST

The acrylic paintings and watercolours of  Troels Kirk reflect his passion for fly-fishing, wildlife, sailing, for the beauty of the sea, the unspoilt grandeur of the Norwegian fjords, the splendour of royal courtyards as well as the intimate moods of old-town backyards and street scenes.

Troels Kirk, born 1956 in Denmark, is a self taught artist. Since childhood drawing and painting has been an essential part of his life, at first as a hobby, later as a full time profession. For many years he lived and worked onboard a sailing boat, exploring and painting the coastlines, canals and rivers of Europe, but now owns and runs a small, old theatre/cinema/concert hall with his own gallery, in Näsum in Sweden.

Troels Kirk’s works have frequently been exhibited in both group and solo shows throughout Europe, Scandinavia and The United States.

Among others collected by / represented at:
DPSG Paris, Leica, The Norwegian Church in New York, Frederiksborg County Hall, Lauritzen Shipping, Adaytum Software, Nordic Transport, Rica Hotels, Insight Systems, Danish Metal
